Syndication
It is a type of semi-automated process of content delivery in Synthrone.
In this workflow there are two types of Synthrone environments:
Brand’s and E-retailer’s (Online Catalog):
brand.browser.synthrone.tools
Example: bayer.browser.synthrone.tools
eretailer-catalog.browser.synthrone.tools
Example: walmart-catalog.browsser.synthrone.tools
The content is created in the Brand’s environment, then synchronized with E-retailer’s Online Catalog. After that, the content can be Approved and Syndicated to E-retailer’s website.
Steps to be done by Creative Agency:
- Upload content
- Build card
- Preview in Injector (optional)
- Assign online catalog
Steps to be done by E-retailer:
- Assign Retailers Product Code (RPC)
- Edit product cards if necessary
- Preview in Injector (optional)
- Assign Platform and Publish content
- Implement the loader script
Follow this guide, to learn the details about the process.
Benefits
for a Brand:
- Full access to Synthrone environment to store and create product cards
- You always publish a relevant assortment
- Content source is protected
for an E-retailer:
- No manual workflow – publish content with just a few clicks
- Product cards in online catalog are always up to date
- Full control of Syndication – you are the only party involved in content delivery and in making decision what is the final content destination
How the Syndication works?
Matching happens through the unique E-retailer ID collected from the product page, which is saved on the Synthrone product card as a Retailer Product Code (RPC)
When a User opens a particular product on the webshop, a request is sent to Synthrone Content Delivery Network (CDN) to open that particular Rich Card.
Syndication Manager
In Publisher, there is a tab named Syndication Manager.
Here you can:
- Manage already syndicated rich cards
- Remove, restore and preview syndicated content
- See all the actions performed on a specific RPC
