How to leave a feedback on any asset in Crafter?

Commenting is a feature implemented in Synthrone Crafter, which allows you to put immediate feedback on content in Basic and Rich Marketing Content.


Adding your first comment

  1. Open link provided to a selected design OR open in Browser selected PDPD with Crafter:

  2. Navigate to the Preview tab

  3. Switch on the comment module:


    The commenting mode is now on. You are now able to post comments.


  4. You can click on any spot on Basic and Rich Marketing Content Tab, and mark place where the comment will be pinned. 
    Then write your comment:

  5. You can notify selected people about your comment. 
    They will receive an e-mail with the comment and a direct link to it in a .pdpd

  6. To find a specific user quicker, type his data into the search-bar above users list:

  7. Selected user has been notified:

  8. By clicking the SEE COMMENT button, user will be sent directly to the comment in which he was mentioned, allowing him to effortlessly make a reply in the same thread:

  9. When the subject matter in the comment is solved and everything is in order, you can Resolve your comment. 
    To do this, tick the Resolve checkbox:

    The comment status is now resolved:

    Previously selected users have been notified about the status change.
  10. To unresolve your comment, click on the resolved comment icon and then on the green Resolved bar at the bottom:

Adding comments to different stages

Adding comment to a different device view
To add a comment to a particular responsive view, e.g., mobile, simply switch to desired view and add your comment:

Adding comment to a different stage of a same component
To avoid confusion with the comment’s matter, you can add a comment to particular stage of the same component.

 1. To do this, first, make sure that the comment mode is turned off:

2. Then, switch to another stage of a component in which you would like to place your comment. 
The comment can now be placed in the new stage:

Other featues

Some of the comments might be visible at different stages of the component.

You can quickly switch between placed comments by clicking left and right arrows, on right side of each component with stages.


Editing & resolving comments
The comment can be edited at any time. Simply click once on the chosen comment. 

Then click on the grey pencil button, at the top right corner of a comment window:

Now you can edit your original comment:

Comment list side panel
Every comment you have placed will be seen on the panel at the right side of the screen:

Here, you can see a full list of all comments placed and their status, on the Rich and Basic Content Marketing Tab. 

 

It is also a neat shortcut. 
Clicking on any comment on the list will lead you straight to the place where they were made:

Show/Hide resolved comments
Click Show/Hide resolved comments button to show or hide resolved comments:


Move comments 

Simply open a comment, click the Move icon, and drag&drop the comment spot to the desired place within a current component:
